Laich feels ‘mentally and physically liberated’ after surgery

So it sounds like Brooks Laich‘s groin surgery went pretty well.

“I feel like I had chains around my body and now somebody just came and cut them off,” the veteran Capitals forward said today, per CSN Washington. “Now I’m free to move about in any direction at any time I want.”

Laich added: “It’s completely liberating. That’s honestly how I feel — mentally and physically liberated and free to get on with my hockey career and excel in the sport – not just participate.”

Originally, the 30-year-old was expected to miss at least the rest of the regular season, but according to the Washington Post, he’s not willing to rule out a shorter recovery period.

“We take it day-by-day,” he said. “I have my eye on the season, I’m still in hockey mode, but I can’t guarantee anything today.”

So if the coach calls you out publicly. More or less saying you’re milking the injury and then surgery fixes the problem that the team missed that means someone has to go atleast.

Your disregard for the English language and grammar speaks volumes to your credibility.

He’s been consistently injured for 3+ years. He’s been to doctor after doctor over that time. Nothing ever changes, including the fact that he says the same thing time and again. He’s all talk and no game these days.

That’s where you are wrong. He was our ironman and had not missed a game since joining the CAPS. He went overseas during the Lockout and got hurt. So let’s try to know what we’re talking about before you start bashing the heart and soul of the team

Did you even read the article at all? Brooks is talking about his injury, not anything to do with Oates calling him out. No where in this post is Oates name or the word coach mention.

First off i’m talking about the article on mach 28th. Not the one back in the being of the year. And once again Oates is not calling out Brooks at all. You really must suck at reading comprehension.

I have never heard of anyone being able to move in any direction they want after a surgery.
