Canucks’ Kassian gets three games for boarding Dillon

Mar 7, 2014, 4:51 PM EDT

Vancouver forward Zack Kassian has been suspended three games for boarding Stars defenseman Brenden Dillon Thursday night in Dallas.

According to the NHL, Kassian boarded Dillon “with significant force,” raising the punishment from a major penalty to a suspension.

The league also ruled that Kassian had enough time to avoid the check after Dillon turned his back.

Kassian, 23, is considered a repeat offender under the CBA, as a result of his suspension for high-sticking Edmonton’s Sam Gagner in the preseason.

I highly doubt this will be more than 5 games. Three to 5 max.

    angrytwitterguy – Mar 6, 2014 at 10:30 PM
Anything less than 10 games for what that moron did is a mistake. Disgusting hit

    • sunderlanding - Mar 7, 2014 at 5:47 PM

It could still be a mistake. Not sure what you’re trying to prove. I’m sure 90% of people predicted no more than five games.

      • joey4id - Mar 7, 2014 at 6:19 PM

Sure. Because twitter here knows more about the NHL disciplinary process than the individuals who make up the Player Safety Dept.

      • sunderlanding - Mar 8, 2014 at 1:08 AM

I didn’t mean to imply that he did.

    • thomasvanek - Mar 7, 2014 at 5:47 PM

oooooo you were right good for you. Why don’t you give up writing on these boards? Nobody likes you anyway bud. Unless the reason is trolling which I’m starting to believe because it makes a lot of sense.

      • joey4id - Mar 7, 2014 at 5:56 PM

Don’t worry about it you 2. Twitter guy understands the genesis of the post.

        No body likes me…… Waaah!

        Move on.

don’t start posting videos here, we only need one blomfield.

      • thomasvanek - Mar 7, 2014 at 6:13 PM

I guess I was right about the troll thing huh?

      • joey4id - Mar 7, 2014 at 6:37 PM

So, to you it makes sense that I’m a troll. Says the guy who uses the name of a hockey player to create an identity. Who’s the troll?

Trust your logic much? Others have said I’m a paid blogger by the NHL, I live in my mom’s basement, I don’t have a job, nor do I have a life, I have multiple accounts…. You might as well believe that I don’t know how to use the internet. How much sense does that make?

      • thomasvanek - Mar 7, 2014 at 6:50 PM

So because I named myself after a hockey player I like that means I’m a troll? I think you are a troll because you never have anything intelligent to say and even though everyone hates you you don’t stop posting ignorant things.

      • joey4id - Mar 7, 2014 at 7:25 PM

I see. If I weren’t I troll I would stop posting because nobody likes me. I’ve stopped making decisions based on the popularity of the choices I have o decide a long time ago, and don’t give a hoot about what others think. My opinions will not be licensed by guys like you. Free speech! Love it. Can I ask you one thing? Stop responding to my comments. Ignore me.

      • thesportsjudge - Mar 7, 2014 at 7:49 PM

        @mcflower….we don’t need/want ONE blomfield here!

      • angrytwitterguy - Mar 7, 2014 at 10:50 PM

He is Bloomfeld McFlower, and another

      • machosasquatcho - Mar 8, 2014 at 12:17 AM

joey/blomfeld: seek professional help. Your life is talking with yourself on an internet forum. This is why people say you live in your mom’s basement. Your lack of self-awareness is shocking.

You have all these screen names, but face up to it: your name is Ron and you’re just some aging jerk-off from Orange County.

Sorry Joe ,angry did nothing but give his opinion like the rest of US on this forum !

      • joey4id - Mar 7, 2014 at 7:29 PM

Like I wrote. Twitter guy knows exactly what prompted my comment. And you know I can go back to the browser history, and I’m sure you can as well.

Joey is too Fukcing stupid to understand the difference between a prediction and an opinion.

Because he’s full on retarded and in need of medication.

He’s now has 3 confirmed accounts here, and questions about a 4th.

So Bourgh’s When are you going to ban the guy who you already banned once before? Who back again with multiple accounts being the same general dumbfukc he was when he first got banned?

    • angrytwitterguy - Mar 7, 2014 at 10:46 PM

Hey Dumbfukc/Mental Case, there’s a difference between saying what he SHOULD get vs what WILL get.

I said what he should get

But I tell you what mental rejects like you should get.

Banned from this site, because you’re worthless garbage who uses multiple accounts to agree with himself, create retarded personalities.

How the Bloggers who run this show don’t give you the boot again blows my mind. I guess they will wait for another melt down where they are forced to rid this place of you.

      • joey4id - Mar 8, 2014 at 10:26 AM

Based on your rant you can be the poster boy for meltdowns.

Your lack of restraint clearly indicates you are challenging PHT to ban you, and that is probably because you have mastered the art of changing your IP address and userid. Does that sound about right?

        Relax a little!

    wow. just wow.

  3. bigtganks - Mar 7, 2014 at 6:22 PM

Hodgson scores to help the Sabres win while Kassian get suspended.

Is it really all that baffling that Hodgson, Luongo, and now Kesler’s the next one to want out with Gillis as the GM? Canucks may become the next Edm in more ways than one. No one wants to play there.

    • ikillchicken - Mar 7, 2014 at 11:11 PM

Hodgson has all of 16 goals. Only a few more than Kassian. And that’s despite playing top line minutes with ample PP time. Hodgson fanboys need to wander back down to reality. He wasn’t that good. Kassian is a fine return.

  4. crazemastercraze - Mar 7, 2014 at 7:24 PM

He’s a flyers fan, Thomas. What more do you want?

  5. djshnooks - Mar 7, 2014 at 7:35 PM

Looks like Buffalo has won yet another trade, albeit a Darcy Regier one, again.

Hodgson for Kassian? I hope Tim Murray can pull out another trade like that this year at the draft…Evander Kane is HIGH on their list, and he was brought up in conversations on trade deadline day, according to someone who was in the room. I could see Myers being shipped out to acquire Kane, at the draft in June.

(And I promise I’m not blowing smoke…Buffalo really wants Kane as the focal point of their rebuild…I just don’t think it’s a good idea to trade Myers now that he is starting to regain his Calder trophy form.)

  6. sjsharks66 - Mar 7, 2014 at 7:40 PM

They got this one right. 3 games is plenty for this hit.

  7. hosewater2 - Mar 8, 2014 at 12:23 AM

    Joey4id rules.

And look at these dummies still bringing up Hodgson. Cody, his Dad, and lawyer/agent all wanted out because they thought he’d be better off as a #1 centre in the armpit of America rather than #3 centre on a Cup contender.
