Who knows how much longer Ryane Clowe will be a member of the San Jose Sharks, but he’ll play for them tonight after missing four games with a shoulder injury, according to CSN Bay Area’s Kevin Kurz.

Clowe is known as a physical forward who is capable of holding his own offensively. However, this season he has no goals and just nine assists in 25 games.

That’s hurt his trade value, but there still might be bidders for him as he plays through the final campaign of his four-year, $14.5 million deal. In particular, Boston and Edmonton are seen as potential destinations for the 30-year-old.

If he gets hot between now and the April 3 trade deadline, the list of potential suitors for Clowe will grow.

the problem would be Clowe’s trade value isn’t going to be enough for the Sharks to make themselves better

Clowe is not the first on my list but imagining him with Lucic is exciting.

I just don’t understand why anyone would want clowe for what SJ is asking. A first round pick and a young asset? To me that is out of control for someone that has 9 points and has never been a real offensive force.
