The New York Rangers didn’t get off to an ideal start in Calgary on Friday.

But they were able to get on the board in the second period, with goals from Brian Boyle and Raphael Diaz just 39 seconds apart to erase a two-goal deficit against the Flames.

The Rangers were actually able to take the lead in the second, although that was only temporary. The Flames took back the lead heading into the intermission, with goals from Kevin Westgarth and Mike Cammalleri.
