Colorado Avalanche GM Greg Sherman says, “I’m very confident in my abilities to do my job.” It’s probably not a good sign when the GM feels like he has to tell people that he can do his job.

The Nashville Predators signed four restricted free agents in Matt Halischuk, Nick Spaling, Chris Mueller, and Cal O’Reilly. All that’s left is trying to sign Sergei Kostitsyn before an arbitrator hears the NHLPA’s grievance starting on Friday.
