According to a source of ESPN Chicago’s Scott Powers, the Blackhawks have not asked Patrick Kane whether he’d be willing to waive his no-move clause to facilitate a trade.

On Tuesday, the Chicago Sun-Times’ Mark Lazerus reported that as many as five teams have called the Blackhawks regarding Kane’s availability.

The 26-year-old is currently the subject of a police investigation for allegedly raping a woman in Buffalo last month.

Kane’s new eight-year, $84 million contract is set to begin this season.

Despite missing 21 games last season with a shoulder injury, Kane finished second in team scoring with 27 goals and 64 points in 61 games.
