Former Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Angus “Gus” Mortson died on Saturday the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home confirmed. He was 90-years-old.
Mortson was an eight-time all-star and four-time Stanley Cup champion.
The New Liskeard, Ont. native played for the Leafs (1946-1952), the Chicago Blackhawks (1952-1958), and the Detroit Red Wings (1958-1959) during his 13-year career.
Mortson won four Stanley Cups with Toronto from 1947-1951 and appeared in eight all-star games from 1947-1956.
He scored 46 goals and 152 assists in 796 career NHL games.
