Washington Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov scored a 2-1, series-clinching goal against the New York Islanders. It was the sort of tally that would be an impressive showing of patience for a veteran scorer, let alone a player who’s still wet behind the ears.

It’s not shocking that he’s drawing praise, including from Capitals head coach Barry Trotz, via the Washington Post’s Alex Prewitt:

“He’s got the joy of a kid ... and the maturity of a good, young man,” Trotz said. “He’s got the best of both worlds.”
