Byfuglien out 2-4 weeks with upper-body injury; Little hurt, too

Fighting to make the playoffs for the first time since moving from Atlanta, the Winnipeg Jets announced a couple of significant injuries today.

First, the most significant -- defenseman Dustin Byfuglien, arguably the team’s MVP this season, is out 2-4 weeks with an upper-body injury sustained Wednesday versus Ottawa.

But this one is pretty significant, too -- Bryan Little, the Jets’ top center and leading goal-scorer, is expected to miss at least the first two games of Winnipeg’s four-game road trip, which starts tomorrow in Nashville.

The Jets have recalled forward Eric O’Dell from AHL St. John’s.
