Lightning recall Namestnikov, could get Carle back soon

The Tampa Bay Lightning recalled Vladislav Namestnikov on Thursday as it appears as if J.T. Brown is nursing an upper-body injury. The Bolts face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.

Namestnikov (pictured) has seven points in 26 games with the Lightning this season while generating 35 points in 34 games at the AHL level. As the 27th pick of the 2011 NHL Draft, he’s yet another intriguing forward talent for a Tampa Bay team that’s just bursting with it. The 22-year-old has 30 games of NHL experience between the past two seasons.

Brown being injured (via Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times) isn’t great news, obviously, but the Lightning may be on the verge of getting that much deeper on defense, as it seems like Matt Carle isn’t that far from returning:
