The Anaheim Ducks won’t unveil their big trade deadline day acquisition tonight against Montreal, as blueliner James Wisniewski will sit out -- possibly up to two weeks -- with a bone bruise in his foot, per NHL.com.

Wisniewski, a former Duck, was acquired from Columbus on Monday in exchange for a second-round pick and forwards William Karlsson and Rene Bourque. The 31-year-old has eight goals and 21 assists in 56 games this season, with 14 of his points (7G, 7A) coming on the power play -- and Wisniewski’s talents with the man advantage were a big reason why Anaheim GM Bob Murray went out and got him.

“Our power play has struggled mightily for two years now,” Murray said, per NHL.com. "[James] is not afraid to shoot the puck. That is a good thing.”

The Ducks power play is operating at 17.4 percent this year, 21st in the league.
