What a difference 24 hours can makes.

On Saturday it seemed as though pending unrestricted free agent Mats Zuccarello was headed out of New York prior to Monday’s trade deadline.

Today it appears the Rangers and Zuccarello are nearing an agreement on a four-year, $18 million extension.

According to The Daily News, the only thing now holding up the deal is negotiations on a no-trade clause.

The 27-year-old is currently on a one-year, $3.5 million contract.

Zuccarello has 12 goals and 23 points along with a plus-13 rating in 59 games this season.
