The Philadelphia Flyers have already dealt defenseman Kimmo Timonen, but will they be motivated sellers before Monday’s 3:00 p.m. ET trade deadline? Tonight’s game against the New York Rangers is the Flyers’ last chance to sell GM Ron Hextall on the idea that this team can overcome the odds by making the playoffs if they are left intact.
Certainly that’s been a tough sell lately as Philadelphia has gone 4-3-4 in February and is now six points shy of the Boston Bruins in the Wild Card race. That’s not even counting the fact that Boston is close to beating Arizona tonight. These two points are important for the Rangers too as they’re in a fierce battle for the Metropolitan Division title.
The game will start at 8:00 p.m. ET and can be watched on NBC, but you can also stream it via NBC Sports Live Extra.
