NBC continues its coverage of the 2014-15 campaign when the Philadelphia Flyers host the New York Rangers at Wells Fargo Center tonight at 8:00 pm ET. In addition to NBC, you can also watch the game online.

The Philadelphia Flyers will look to avoid a third straight loss overall and a fourth to the New York Rangers when the two teams hook up for the finale in the season series tonight at Wells Fargo Center.

Philly enters tonight’s action after back-to-back road losses against teams below them in the standings. The Flyers were embarrassed 4-1 in Carolina on Tuesday night and then fell 3-2 on Thursday night in Toronto.

The two losses have the Flyers six points back of the Boston Bruins for the second wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Bruins also have a game in hand.

One bright spot for the Flyers is their starting goaltender is back after missing eight games with a right knee injury. Steve Mason made eight saves in relief on Thursday night – it was his first action since Feb. 8.

New York enters tonight’s action looking for the season-series sweep of Philly.

The Rangers trail the Islanders by just two points for top spot in the Metropolitan Division and have three games in hand.

New York has gone 8-0-2 in its past 10 and 11-1-2 in the last 14 games. The Rangers will look for a fifth straight win tonight after a victory over the Arizona Coyotes on Thursday night.

The two teams met over a 10-day span in November with the Rangers out-scoring the Flyers 10-2 in three wins. Rangers’ goaltender Cam Talbot has posted shutouts in both his starts against the Flyers this season.
