There have been a number of big deals in the last few days across the National Hockey League, as general managers inch closer to Monday’s trade deadline.

The Chicago Blackhawks were the latest to make a splash, acquiring 39-year-old defenseman Kimmo Timonen from the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday.

And it appears the Blackhawks, having just lost Patrick Kane for 12 weeks after he underwent surgery for a fractured left clavicle, are not quite done trying to make a deal, this time for a forward.

“We’re not done making calls. It’s been a long day today. I’m sure it will be tomorrow and the next couple of days. You can’t predict where it’ll go; it takes two sides to make a deal but we’re going to keep trying,” said Blackhawks’ GM Stan Bowman, as per CSN Chicago.

“We’re looking for a forward. Hopefully it works out but if not we’ll go with what we’ve got.”
