The Boston Bruins, losers of six in a row, will not have David Krejci for their Sunday tilt against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Krejci left Friday’s loss against the St. Louis Blues during the second period and did not return. The extent of his injury isn’t exactly known right now, with the Bruins on the road. But head coach Claude Julien confirmed the 28-year-old center will not be in the lineup.
“We won’t know the severity of his injury until we get back home,” said Julien on Saturday.

The Bruins also reassigned goalie Malcolm Subban to the American Hockey League, as per Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe.
Subban was pulled in his NHL debut Friday, after allowing three goals on just six shots. The former first-round pick was critical of his play afterward.
“It’s not the game I wanted it to be for the team,” said Subban, as per CSNNE.com. “Obviously I need to look at the game, and the stuff I did wrong. I was way too deep on all three goals regardless of how they went in – tip, screen, knuckle-puck, whatever – I’ve got to challenge more. If it was the AHL I would have been out more, and maybe those don’t go in.”
“Whether it’s nerves or whatever it is, there are no excuses. You’ve got to stop the puck. I was way too deep on all three goals, and I didn’t give myself a chance to make the saves.”
