David Perron, in his return to Edmonton after getting traded to Pittsburgh, scored a crucial goal for the Penguins in their 2-0 victory over the Oilers.
Going to the net, in the dying seconds of the second period, Perron had the puck deflect off him and into the net with 0.5 seconds remaining on the clock.
That gave the Penguins their two-goal lead, which was enough support for Marc-Andre Fleury, who made 22 saves for the shutout. Evgeni Malkin, playing for the first time since Jan. 20 due to a lower-body injury, scored what turned out to be the winning goal in his return to the lineup.
Marc-Andre Fleury (41 GP) posted his NHL-best 7th shutout, tying the @penguins' single-season record set by Tom Barrasso in 1997-98 (63 GP).

From the NHL’s Situation Room blog:
At 19:59 of the second period in the Pittsburgh Penguins/Edmonton Oilers game, video review supported the referee’s call on the ice that the puck deflected off Pittsburgh’s David Perron and crossed the Edmonton goal line in a legal fashion with 0.4 seconds remaining in the period. According to Rule 78.4 “If an attacking player has the puck deflect into the net, off his skate or body, in any manner, the goal shall be allowed.” Good goal Pittsburgh.
