Just because, I decided to calculate the records of all 30 NHL teams in the last two months. Here are the results:

Notes:
--- The above is sorted by wins, not points percentage. I didn’t want to do the extra math. It’s Friday.
--- The Blue Jackets stand out at the top of the list. They had a nice run in the beginning of December, but have since fallen back again. Might be for the best, as Columbus, not really a legit Stanley Cup contender, will get to add another solid prospect at this summer’s draft.
--- You might’ve expected the Sharks’ record to be worse, given some of the things that have been said by the coach. But by beating Anaheim last night, San Jose moved into second place in the Pacific Division. And you know what? There’s a pretty good chance we’ll see a Sharks-Kings rematch in the first round. Because...
--- Both the Canucks and Flames appear vulnerable to be overtaken by Los Angeles. As you can see, neither Vancouver nor Calgary has been playing particularly well in the last two months. True, the Kings haven’t either. But does anyone actually believe the defending champs belong in the same conversation as the Canucks and Flames?
