The expectations are high in Chicago. As they should be, with the Blackhawks two years removed from a Stanley Cup championship, and one win away from making it back to the final a year ago.

Consider them contenders once again, even if they sit third in the Central Division, five points behind the Nashville Predators heading into Wednesday’s NHL schedule.
