Didn’t take long for Team Foligno to get on the board at the 2015 NHL All-Star Game in Columbus.
Vancouver forward Radim Vrbata struck early for the “home” team, taking a nice Ryan Nugent-Hopkins outlet pass and snapping home past Roberto Luongo on a breakaway just 3:09 into the contest:
Though one of the less-heralded stars at this weekend’s event, Vrbata is an interesting story. At 33, he’s playing in his first-ever All-Star Game, thanks in large part to the 18 goals he’s scored playing alongside Daniel and Henrik Sedin in his inaugural season as a Canuck.
