COLUMBUS -- He was in, he was out. Now he’s back in again.

Just prior to the start of the All-Star Skills Competition at Nationwide, Calgary rookie Johnny Gaudreau learned he’d be playing in tomorrow’s game...after earlier reports of his inclusion proved false.

From the Flames’ Twitter account:

At Friday’s media session, Gaudreau was reportedly in line to replace the injured Sidney Crosby at the All-Star Game, only for the league to keep Crosby’s spot vacant.

The reason for Gaudreau’s inclusion now hasn’t been revealed, though it’s worth pointing out Tampa Bay’s Tyler Johnson was ruled out of tonight’s Skills Competition due to a lower-body injury.
