We already touched on the Sharks in today’s PHT Extra, but in case you didn’t believe us when we said something’s not right in San Jose, here’s coach Todd McLellan, via CSN Bay Area, after last night’s 5-2 home loss to New Jersey:

The key quote?

“I’m concerned about our drive right now, the life that we bring to the rink and to the games. I don’t know if you want to call it passion, but just that internal drive per person isn’t where it needs to be right now.”

The Sharks are still in a playoff position, but not by a comfortable margin by any means.

San Jose’s next two games will be on NBCSN, tomorrow at home to the Kings and Thursday, Jan. 29 (after the All-Star break), at home to Anaheim.
