Martin Brodeur’s sabbatical from St. Louis continues.

Brodeur, who last week took a leave from the Blues to contemplate his playing future, will now extend that leave through the upcoming All-Star break, per ESPN.

“With the All-Star break already on the way, the Blues have given Marty more time to reflect,” agent Pat Brisson of CAA Sports told ESPN. “Everything should be clearer post All-Star next week.”

Brodeur’s leave was granted last Wednesday, which coincided with Brian Elliott returning to full health and being taken off IR. Elliott, along with Jake Allen, is expected to be St. Louis’ goaltending duo moving forward, leaving many questions as to how the 42-year-old fits in. TSN’s Darren Dreger recently speculated that Blues GM Doug Armstrong may consider offering Brodeur a management position within the organization.

Brodeur has gone 3-3-0 with a .899 save percentage for the Blues. He last appeared in a game on Jan. 2.
