Every point is critical for the Flames as they hold onto the second Wild Card spot by the narrowest of margins and tonight’s contest will be of particular importance, but Calgary will be missing one of its top forwards. Curtis Glencross has been placed on the injured reserve list, per the Flames’ Twitter feed.
Glencross, who is dealing with a lower-body injury, also missed Saturday’s contest due to the ailment. He has eight goals and 26 points in 44 games this season.
The good news is that Josh Jooris (wrist) is ready to return after a four-game absence. He has nine goals and 14 points in 31 contests and has logged regular minutes in shorthanded situations.
Calgary will play against Los Angeles on Monday, which shares the Flames’ record of 51 points in 45 contests. However, if the playoffs started today, the Kings would be the team eliminated as they’re losing in the tiebreaker. Calgary has 21 regulation and overtime wins to Los Angeles’ 19.
