Calgary Flames goalie Karri Ramo left Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings after a collision with a teammate while racing out for a loose puck. Ramo did not return to the game, which the Flames lost by a final score of 3-2.
Ramo left the crease to play a loose puck and collided with Flames defenseman Raphael Diaz in the slot. He left the ice with 9:49 remaining in the second and the score tied 1-1.
Ramo made 12 saves on 13 shots in his first start since being pulled after allowing four goals on 13 shots in a 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Dec. 16.
Jonas Hiller came on in relief.
#Flames G Karri Ramo was signing autographs outside dressing room a few minutes ago, a good sign his injury isn't too serious.

#Flames G Jonas Hiller talked to Ramo after game. Doesn't seem too concerned: "I think it's nothing too bad."
