Montreal Canadiens forward P.A. Parenteau was injured after being on the receiving end of a massive Tim Sestito body check Friday, however the Habs continued their winning streak.

The hit occurred just before the midway point of the second period, as Parenteau was rushing the puck up the ice. He skated right into Sestito, who drilled Parenteau to the ice. There was no call on the play. Parenteau left the game and did not return. Below is a replay of the hit.

The Habs still earned two points, defeating the New Jersey Devils by a final score of 4-2. That’s now five wins in a row for the Canadiens, who have also won eight of their last nine games.

Carey Price made 22 saves for the win, running his record to 21-9-1. Price has been the back bone for the Habs. He finds himself on quite a roll of late, winning seven of his last eight starts. He also hasn’t allowed more than two goals in a game since Dec. 6, which coincides with this recent run.

It’s a milestone win for Price, too. That’s career regular season win No. 200 for Price, in his 400th game.
