As the Toronto Maple Leafs look to avoid their third straight loss tonight when they begin a seven-game road trip in Chicago, they could have another change on the blue line.

Jake Gardiner was scratched in Saturday night’s 7-4 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers after head coach Randy Carlyle called the 24-year-old’s play “very erratic”.

Korbinian Holzer took Gardiner’s spot in the lineup and was on the ice for three of the Flyers’ goals. He finished a minus-1 in 15:38 of ice time.

Defenseman Stephane Robidas took a hit from Flyers’ forward Wayne Simmonds in the final seconds of the middle period and fell awkwardly on his shoulder.

Post-game Robidas had his left shoulder heavily wrapped.

“Just a little injury, but it’s nothing,” Robidas said. “No big deal.”

If Robidas can’t go, look for Gardiner to return to the lineup.

Toronto is 5-1-1 on the back end of back-to-back games this season and 3-0-0 in Sunday contests.
