The Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers got off to a wild start tonight and it hit its crescendo midway through the first period when Toronto and Philadelphia combined for three goals in 26 seconds.

It started 11:18 minutes into the contest when Sean Couturier evened the game at 2-2:

David Clarkson responded just 15 seconds later though to regain the edge:

That was Clarkson’s ninth goal and 12th point of the 2014-15 in contrast to his Leafs’ debut campaign in 2013-14 when he only managed 11 points in 60 games. Defenseman Stephane Robidas also recorded his 200th career assist on that marker.

Claude Giroux completed the sequence with his ninth goal of the season:

Emery only stopped six of nine shots through 20 minutes. Meanwhile, 33-year-old Rob Zepp is waiting to see if he will make his NHL debut.
