So, it’s going from bad to worse for the Colorado Avalanche.
Goalie Semyon Varlamov was pulled from the Colorado net early in the third period of Friday’s game against the Winnipeg Jets after allowing five goals on 30 shots. Certainly can’t blame him for everything that went wrong in this one. His teammates in front of him were completely flat against the Jets.
Reto Berra came into the game for Varlamov.
Bryan Little scored twice in the span of 32 seconds early in the third period, giving Winnipeg a 5-1 lead. Floodgates open. He also completed the hat trick, which is the first for the Jets since the franchise moved back to Winnipeg from Atlanta, according to numerous reports.
Eric Boulton of Atlanta Thrashers, on Dec. 18 of 2010, was last member of organization to record three goals in a game. #NHLJets
