After just five games, Ben Eager’s time in Moscow is done.
Eager, a veteran of over 400 NHL contests and a Stanley Cup winner with Chicago in 2010, was released by KHL club CSKA on Thursday, the team announced.
Eager finished his time in Russia with no goals and a minus-1 rating.
The 30-year-old tough guy signed with CSKA this season after failing to catch on in North America following a tough ’13-14 campaign, in which he only made seven appearances for Edmonton, spending the majority of his time in AHL Oklahoma City.
