Winnipeg announced a pair of significant injuries on defense Thursday, announcing that Zach Bogosian will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a lower-body ailment while Grant Clitsome would be sidelined for two weeks.

Bogosian, third among all Jets skaters at 22:47 TOI per game, had eight points through 25 games this year while sitting second among d-men in hits, with 54.

Clitsome, who’s only appeared in 16 games this season while dealing with a lower-body ailment, was averaging just over 14 minutes a night. He’s had major issues staying healthy during the last two years, failing to make progress on what was, offensively speaking, a pretty decent ’13-14 campaign (12 points in 32 games).

Without these two in the lineup, Winnipeg will roll with a defensive unit of Jacob Trouba, Tobias Enstrom, Adam Pardy, Paul Postma, Mark Stuart and the recently-recalled Ben Chiarot, who played 21:20 in Wednesday’s comeback win over Edmonton.

UPDATE: Enstrom is also out a month, per TSN. The Jets have called up Julien Brouillette from the American League and will move Dustin Byfuglien back to defense in response, per head coach Paul Maurice.
