With just two wins in their last eight tries, the Arizona Coyotes are hoping an extended home stand can help them get back on track.
“We’re home for five games and we have a chance to practice and bring more structure back to our game,” coach Dave Tippett said ahead of tonight’s contest versus the visiting Kings, per NHL.com.
“We’ve had a very tough stretch here (11 games in 18 days) and we’re going to try to get some rest and be ready to play and get the best results.”
After the Stanley Cup champs, the Coyotes host three more tough sides -- Boston, Nashville, and Minnesota -- before completing the home stand Dec. 16 against Edmonton.
As we noted earlier in the week, the Coyotes have lost five straight at Gila River Arena. For a franchise that’s desperate to sell more tickets and gain a more secure foothold in the marketplace, that’s not a great way to go about doing it.
At last glance on StubHub, lower-bowl seats for tonight’s game were going for as little as $21.46 each, with uppers as cheap as $9.03.
