Video: Ennis fires behind his back while falling, scores

Ennis goal

Buffalo hasn’t had occasion to celebrate much of anything this season, let alone a big goal. The Sabres have averaged just 1.59 goals per game going into tonight’s contest against Montreal.

Sabres forward Tyler Ennis put on an incredible show for the crowd at First Niagara Center tonight though. He charged to Montreal’s net early in the first period, but with goaltender Carey Price in his way, Ennis jumped over the netminder’s pads and promptly regained control of the puck. Now skating away from the net and falling, Ennis fired a shot behind his back and still managed to put Buffalo ahead.

You can see that remarkable play below:

That was Ennis’ team-leading seventh goal and 14th point in his 23rd game of the season.
