As of this morning, there was no hearing scheduled for Ryan Garbutt. But that was then. From the NHL’s Department of Player Safety, this is now:
Dallas forward Ryan Garbutt will have a hearing tomorrow for kneeing Edmonton forward Taylor Hall.

Here’s the incident, in case you missed it:
Hall wasn’t injured on the play, and remained in the game.
But Garbutt has a history. Last season, he was fined for a spear on Ducks forward Corey Perry and, during the lockout-shortened ’13 campaign, he was suspended five games for a hit on Dustin Penner.
The Stars’ next game is Friday versus Minnesota.
