The L.A. Kings, this may surprise you to know, have only one win on the road in the 2014-15 season.

They suffered another setback on Saturday, as their comeback attempt against the host Dallas Stars fell short and they were defeated by a final score of 5-4.

The loss also snapped L.A.'s winning streak at three games.

The Kings found themselves down 4-0 by the early minutes of the second period, but Jonathan Quick remained in the game. They managed to come back, narrowing the deficit to only two goals by the end of 40 minutes, and getting to within one in the third.

“Yeah, ifs, ifs, ifs. I mean everybody was extremely – disappointed isn’t the right word – pissed off about how we came out,” said Justin Williams, as per LA Kings Insider.

“Power plays had a chance to take the game over and write a different outcome tonight. We didn’t answer the bell early.”

Also, as if nine goals and an improbable comeback nearly completed weren’t enough, there was reportedly a small earthquake in the Dallas area at the time of the third period.

“There were lots in the first period,” said L.A. head coach Darryl Sutter.

According to LA Kings Insider, a reporter chimed in, informing the coach there had actually been an earthquake some time during the third period.

“Really? Been through lots of ‘em,” said Sutter.
