The Anaheim Ducks might soon be adding another offensive weapon to the lineup.
On Tuesday, the Ducks sent winger Kyle Palmieri to AHL Norfolk on a conditioning assignment, per the league website. The decision comes after Palmieri missed all 17 of Anaheim’s games this year with an ankle injury, which he suffered during the preseason.
The club’s first-round pick (26th overall) at the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Palmieri is coming off a solid ’13-14 campaign in which he posted career highs in games (71), goals (14), assists (17) and points (31). The 23-year-old has also proven to be an effective postseason scoring, having potted six goals in 17 career playoff appearances.
