Former Blackhawk is cruising
Despite allowing three goals on 19 shots in a loss to the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday, Antti Niemi is 3-1-1 with a 1.95 GAA and .934 save percentage in his last five starts. The 31-year-old is also 5-1-1 on the road this season. Niemi became the first Finnish goaltender to win the Stanley Cup when he backstopped the Blackhawks to a Stanley Cup victory in 2010.
Corey Crawford gets the start for the Blackhawks. He is 1-3-0 since returning from injury despite posting a 1.78 GAA and .934 percentage. Crawford is 2-2-1 with a 1.77 GAA and. 920 save percentage at the United Center this season.
