Miller back in St. Louis

Ryan Miller will take on his ex-Blues mates for the first time on Thursday when the Canucks visit St. Louis. Miller, who spent the latter part of last season in St. Louis following a blockbuster trade from Buffalo, had the worst outing of his brief Canucks tenure on Tuesday night, getting hooked after allowing five goals on 13 shots in an eventual 6-3 loss to Dallas. He’ll be looking for redemption against a Blues club that opted against keeping him following last year’s opening-round playoff ouster to Chicago.

Speaking of the Blues, Jake Allen will get his second start of the year -- he made his season debut on Saturday with a win over Arizona.

Ochocino goes for New York

Chad Johnson will make his second start of the year -- and second appearance in as many games -- when the Isles take on the B’s in Boston tonight. Johnson won his first start (vs. Carolina on Oct. 11), then came on in relief of Jaroslav Halak in Tuesday’s loss to the Leafs. Like Miller, Johnson will also be facing his ex-employer this evening; the 28-year-old spent last year as the No. 2 in Boston and fared very well, going 17-4-3 with a .925 save percentage and 2.10 GAA.

For the Bruins, it looks as though Niklas Svedberg will get the call in goal, though that’s yet to be made official.
