New Islanders minority owners Jon Ledecky and Scott Malkin were introduced to the media today by owner Charles Wang and general manager Garth Snow.

Ledecky and Malkin will become majority owners in two years. Until then, Ledecky says the pair will “be on a listening tour for two years, listening to the fans, listening to what we can do to enhance the experience for hockey fans as we move to Brooklyn. And making sure that our loyal and devoted fan base that’s been built over 40 years has a smooth transition to Brooklyn.”

The Islanders will begin playing in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center next season.
