Mike Ribeiro, facing his old team, the Arizona Coyotes, got the Nashville Predators on the board in the first period of Tuesday’s game. And what a pretty goal it was.

Ribeiro finished off a give-and-go on an odd-man rush with Ryan Ellis for his third goal of the season.

A little revenge factor here for Ribeiro, who was bought out by the Coyotes during the off-season and spoke prior to the game about the working relationship he had with Coyotes general manager Don Maloney. It didn’t end well, with Maloney saying “behavioral issues” led to the buyout.

Dave [Tippett] was always supportive of me — even when they went to get me, I thought it was more Dave than Maloney,” Ribeiro said. “You know, I don’t think Maloney was ever a big fan. I think Dave was.”
