The Maple Leafs added some organizational depth on Monday, as former Minnesota forward Carson McMillan inked a deal with their AHL affiliate in Toronto.
McMillan, 26, was a seventh-round pick of the Wild in 2007 and spent the first five years of his professional career with the organization, appearing in 16 NHL contests. He was in Toronto’s training camp but cut early on in the process, but still managed to latch on with the Marlies (though he’ll first report to ECHL Orlando, per the club).
Of note, McMillan was teammates of current Leaf Brandon Kozun, as the two played together in WHL Calgary.
