Bruins’ Miller out indefinitely after dislocating shoulder in fight

Bruins defenseman Kevan Miller has a dislocated right shoulder and will be out indefinitely, the club announced today.

Miller was hurt early in Saturday’s 4-0 win over the Sabres, after logging just 3:23 of the contest. The 26-year-old suffered the dislocated shoulder in a first-period fight with Nicolas Deslauriers:

Miller’s injury puts even more pressure on a Boston blue line that’s already had to deal with the loss of stalwart Johnny Boychuk, who was traded to the Islanders prior to the season starting.

Currently, the Bruins have just six healthy d-men on the roster: Zdeno Chara, Dougie Hamilton, Dennis Seidenberg, Torey Krug, Adam McQuaid, and Matt Bartkowski.

Boston hosts San Jose tomorrow at TD Garden, with Bartkowski, scratched in Buffalo, expected to take Miller’s spot in the lineup.
