According to a source, Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic has been fined $5,000 -- the maximum allowable under the collective bargaining agreement -- for last night’s antics in Montreal .

Lucic made a lewd gesture to fans behind the Bruins penalty box after being assessed a boarding minor in the final minutes of Boston’s 6-4 loss to the Canadiens.

For those who still haven’t seen it, here it is:

This isn’t Lucic’s first disciplinary issue with the league... or the first involving Montreal... or the first involving an obscene gesture. In 2009, he was suspended one playoff game for cross-checking Habs forward Maxim Lapierre in the head; in 2010, he was dinged $1K for motioning towards the Thrashers bench following a fight against Atlanta.

Update: The NHL announced that Lucic has indeed been fined $5,000 for his actions.
