It might seem weird choosing a goalie highlight from a score-fest in Washington, but trust us.

Late in the opening frame, Caps goalie Braden Holtby absolutely stoned Jaromir Jagr from in front after some nifty Devils passing:

The majority of the highlights from the first period were, as alluded to above, of the goal-scoring variety. The two teams combined to tally four in the opening 20 minutes, including a pair from New Jersey rookie d-man Damon Severson.
