All the news and notes from around the crease...

King Henrik back again

Henrik Lundqvist will make his fourth start in five games to open the season on Thursday when the Rangers take on the ‘Canes at MSG. It hasn’t been a good start to the year for Lundqvist; he’s allowed six goals in back-to-back games and boasts a ghastly 5.41 GAA and .816 save percentage.

For Carolina, Anton Khudobin will be in goal.

Schneider keeps rolling

Cory Schneider has played every minute in goal for the Devils this year and, given the way things have gone, it’s not surprising he’ll be in net tonight when New Jersey takes on the Caps in Washington.

Schneider is a perfect 3-0-0 on the year with a 2.00 GAA and .937 save percentage, a tremendous start to his first campaign in Jersey without Martin Brodeur in the picture.

Tonight, he’ll square off against Braden Holtby, who’s looking to rebound from a tough outing on Tuesday -- Holtby was hooked just 9:34 into the shootout loss to the Sharks after allowing three goals on seven shots.
