One of the few positives that the Philadelphia Flyers could take from their 0-2-1 start to the season was that forward Vinny Lecavalier had put his rough 2013-14 campaign behind him. However, an injury might once again stand in his way.
The 34-year-old forward appeared to be in pain as he left the arena Saturday night with a walking boot covering his left foot, per the Philadelphia Inquirer. He absorbed a shot from teammate Mark Streit.
He didn’t leave the game, but a CSN Philly source isn’t sure if he’ll be available for Monday’s practice.
Philadelphia will play against Anaheim on Tuesday before starting a three-game road trip that will take them to Dallas, Chicago, and Detroit.
Lecavalier hasn’t played in more than 69 games in a single season since 2009-10.
