The Winnipeg Jets will be without Evander Kane for the remainder of Thursday’s game against the Arizona Coyotes.
Kane left the game early in the opening period and will not return due to a lower-body injury, the club announced via Twitter.
According to Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun, the 23-year-old Kane was involved in a knee-on-knee collision with teammate Mark Scheifele and was seen clutching his right knee.
Kane did return briefly for a shift, before exiting the game once more, this time for good.
After taking the shift on the power play, now Evander Kane is heading to #NHLJets dressing room so we'll monitor the situation
