According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the Columbus Blue Jackets claimed Jack Skille off waivers from the New York Islanders Sunday.
Skille, 27, spent last season in Columbus organization where he had four goals in 16 regular season games with the Blue Jackets. He added 13 goals and 24 points in 22 games with Springfield of the American Hockey League.
The forward signed a one-year, two-way contract with the New York Islanders on July 1.
Originally a Chicago Blackhawks first round pick (7th overall in 2005), Skille has appeared in 194 career NHL games with the Blackhawks, Panthers and Blue Jackets.
