The St. Louis Blues announced that 2014 first-rounder (21st overall) Robby Fabbri will not return to Thursday’s physical exhibition against the Minnesota Wild after suffering an upper-body injury.
The early word is that it might be arm/shoulder related and that there were multiple collisions that might have caused the 18-year-old’s problems.
Pressbox scuttlebutt is that Fabbri took a pretty good shot. Trainer Ray Barile took a look at him before heading to the locker room.

I had a few people tweet at me that Fabbri exited the game holding his arm. He took a couple of good shots in the first. #StlBlues

NHL.com’s Lou Korac believes that he’s enjoyed an unexpectedly strong showing in training camp, making this quite a shame:
Too bad about Fabbri. He's been the surprise of training camp thus far. #stlblues

Obviously this doesn’t bode well for his already long odds on making a very strong Blues team.
