The NHL is denying a report that the league is set to meet with the IOC before the end of the year to discuss future participation in the Winter Olympics.

“We aren’t aware of any meeting,” NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly told PHT in an email. “We have not been in contact with the IOC and they have not been in touch with us.”

The report came from Dmitry Chesnokov of Yahoo Sports:

The 2018 Winter Games are to be held in South Korea, while the 2022 Games will be held in either China or Kazakhstan (after Norway withdrew its bid today.)

The NHL has not yet committed to sending its players to future Winter Olympics.
